Goal: To locate several live index markets and identify the underlying index.
Exercise: In your practice account find 3 US Equity Indices and add them to a watch list. In retail derivatives, for trademark reasons, the name the broker gives the product is not the same as the underlying index being traded, for example, the UK100 spread bet is actually on the price of the FTSE100 index. For the 3 you’ve listed, using google and some common sense make sure you know which underlying index relates to which.
